The Ridgefield Board of Education offers varied programs designed to meet the needs of the individual student.
The high school provides programs to prepare its graduates for college, business, or industry.
Pupil to teacher ratio is 20 to 1 in Kindergarten and first grade, and 25 to 1 in second through twelfth grades.
Special Services include guidance counseling, remedial reading, classes for trainable and educable retarded students, and flexible teaching arrangements for ill or physically handicapped students at school or at home.

Parent-Teacher Associations: Each school has its own PTA, which is a branch of the national PTA. At the high school it is called the Parent-Teacher-Student Association. The Joint Council of PTAs brings together the presidents of each PTA, the principals and other representatives. It provides communication among administration, parents and the various PTAs. It conducts joint projects such as the school census.
